The BCCT Advocacy Working Group had the honour of calling on H.E. Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, Ministry of Labour, and his team from the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Department of Employment, Department of Skill Development, Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Office of Social Security at the Ministry of Labour Thailand.Gareth Davies, BCCT Chair led the BCCT delegation supported by: BCCT Board Director Ann Rogers-Bell, Managing Director PCS Thailand; Rudee A.,Regional HR Manager PCS Thailand; Jantima Hiraga BCCT Advocacy Working Group and Country Manager Pearson; Pavita Suwattarakul, Business Development Manager Pearson; Greg Watkins MBE, BCCT Executive Director; and Saen Witthayaphatthanaphorn, BCCT Policy Manager.Key topics in the fruitful discussion were:- Enhancing English language proficiency and tech skills- Empowering digital literacy- Promotion/Measures to attract high-skilled foreigners and investment to ThailandThe Ministry of Labour welcomes foreign investors and highly-skilled labour to Thailand. This meeting underscores the enduring relationship between Thailand and the UK and highlights the significant strides being made to equip Thai workers with essential skills for the global job market.
